We welcomed Burton Joyce to devon Park this afternoon. The first home fixture of the season and it was important to get off to winning ways after the start last week.

Unfortunately Ishan and Sam were unavailable for this one so it was down to a 14 man squad. The discussion beforehand was to approach the game as a team. Plenty of communication and keep the team shape. All the team have the discipline, so its starting to get easier for them to understand the message we are trying to get across.

The game started and right from the start we were playing with plenty of confidence and flair. A good move and goal was unfortunately ruled off side but it was the right result. It was clear to se that a gaol was not far away. Shequeal was excellent on the right hand side and supplied the forwards with plenty of very good crosses. After a few chances were spurned the gaols started to flow. William was excellent in front of goal and so the goals started to go in.

I decided to keep the side the same going into the second half as all had put in a great performance. Movement was good, passing crisp and that all important talking to one another was starting to come. Robert in goal has little to do but commanded his area and communication and distribution was all greatly improved.

Goals continued into the second half and pleasingly the tempo and commitment did not alter with the new recruits in the second half, Although we probably switched off a little in the latter parts of the game it was a very pleasing results and many goos points to take away.

A well deserved victory with all the squad contributing to the good performance. A particular mention to Sequel who was fantastic down the right hand side.
